Mounts are a big part of Diablo 4, and players work to make their mounts look the best they possibly can, putting cool armor on them that they collect over time as well as many other customization options. Horses are a cool feature in the game, especially because they help players get around. However, it seems they are about to get better.

Recently, the developers of Diablo 4 participated in an interview campfire with many of the people who worked on the game, discussing it and answering questions. After this took place, one of the devs took to Twitter to share something really cool about mounts that will be getting an update soon that they failed to mention during the interview talk.

Mounts are becoming more practical in Diablo 4

Currently, mounts only have one purpose in the game, and that is making traveling a lot easier and faster. Walking in any video game can become annoying, even if there is running and players just want to hurry and travel to different areas in Sanctuary. But soon, this won’t be all that mounts do.

Joe Shely, who is a developer on Diablo 4, has taken to Twitter to share that they will be adding a new feature to them that will allow them to charge through barricades. This means that when a player comes upon a barricade blocking their path, they will be able to use their mount to take it down. This will be a really cool feature for players to use during their gameplay.

Below this comment, another user shares a comment discussing some more features they would like to see added to mounts in the game. “Next, make climbing or descending a ladder reset the mount CD. It makes sense for it to have one after fighting or using the dismount attack, but to dismount just to ascend a ladder, then have to stand at top of it for 10 seconds to remount is oof.”

In reply to this comment, Joe Shely then says, “You got it.” Seemly suggesting that players will be getting this feature as well at some point during the future Diablo 4 updates. For now, none of these are confirmed as to when they will be coming to the game, but hopefully, the ability to break down barricades will come sooner than later.
