One of the most well-utilised communication software out there is Discord. Having long-since replaced Skype as the main form of both written and voice chat among PC gamers. Although Discord was primarily used among PC gamers, it quickly became evident that gamers across multiple platforms would much rather use Discord. Especially when it came to games that had cross-play, and the system’s own communication service wasn’t as desired as the alternative.

Only a few months ago was this collaboration leaked, in fact the leak mentioned that the software would begin in PlayStation rollout in early 2022. Later, PlayStation would officially announce their partnership.

From February 1st, PlayStation owners in the US will be able to link to their PSN account with Discord.

Using the web, desktop version or mobile, users need to access the ‘User Settings’, from there they can access the ‘Connections’ menu which will allow you to connect your accounts.

Other countries will follow-suit shortly, but with the US being the first, it’s no doubt that the rest of the world will likely also see Discord and PlayStation’s integration within February.
