Epic Games just released more big Fortnite changes. Players haven’t received a lot of content over the past two weeks due to Epic’s summer break. However, the development team is back and will release new content soon.

The next Fortnite update is scheduled for July 25. This will be the second major update of Chapter 4 – Season 3 and will bring a lot of changes. In the meantime, Epic will release smaller updates that will bring new cosmetics and gameplay changes.

The latest minor update brought a rather big change to the ranked mode, improving progress for players and decreasing losses for bad games.

Latest Fortnite changes will positively impact the community

Two months ago, Epic Games added a new ranked mode to Fortnite Battle Royale. The mode replaced Arena and its goal is to attract competitive players. It hasn’t been perfect so far, but the latest change will drastically improve it.

With the latest Fortnite change, Epic made big adjustments to the competitive mode. Thanks to this change, players will now improve their rank much faster when eliminating players who have a higher rank than them. In addition, the penalty for bad games has been reduced.

It will be interesting to see how this will affect the Fortnite community. Considering that many players have complained about losing their ranks too quickly, the latest change should solve that issue. Granted, Epic Games will keep monitoring the situation and making more changes to the ranked mode if necessary.

At the moment, most ranked players want the siphon mechanic in the game mode. This is a popular mechanic in competitive modes, and surprisingly, the ranked mode doesn’t have it. However, Epic may release the mechanic with the v25.20 update on July 25, although nothing has been confirmed yet.

The first season of Fortnite’s ranked mode will conclude at the end of Chapter 4 – Season 3.
