Epic Games has released hundreds of new items to Fortnite over the past few years. Thanks to these frequent updates, the video game has become very popular. However, these updates have also resulted in a plethora of useless items.

While it’s true that Epic adjusts the loot pool every few weeks on average, some useless items are still in the game. It’s unlikely that the video game developer will remove these items anytime soon, and in every season, there will be a couple of below-average items that get a bad reputation.

Hundreds of Fortnite players recently voted for the most irrelevant and useless item, and here are the results.

Reddit user adhamx1a asked other community members to pick the most irrelevant item in Fortnite. The poster picked bandages and the Thermal DMR, although many other players disagreed with the weapon.

“The most irrelevant imo are grenades since after the nerf,” Spear_speaks007 wrote. Many other users agreed, calling grenades the most useless item. Epic Games nerfed them last season, reducing their body damage from 100 to 40. Structural damage was also decreased from 375 to only 75.

“Grenades. They now do 40 damage to players instead of 100, and to builds it does 75 damage instead of 375. A full stack of grenades can’t kill a single person with full health/shield/overshield in zero builds, and you likely won’t kill someone in builds if they put up any defenses. Grenades used to make someone panic. They’re completely useless now,” tierone_gaming explained in detail.

While grenades are certainly bad, they are not the only item that’s useless. “Wasp jars and small fry fish,” Fomo- posted. However, this comment was rather controversial. While it’s received many upvotes, many players disagreed as well, with some of them claiming that Wasp Jars are overpowered.

Reddit user magikarp-sushi had a simple explanation regarding bandages and what makes them useless. “Bandages are so bad now especially with the plants. It is by far the worst item,” the r/FortniteBR member explained. They also added that grenades need a buff.
