Epic Games has brought many rare cosmetic items to Fortnite’s Item Shop lately. The video game developer has unvaulted some of the rarest cosmetics, and it’s unlikely that this will stop anytime soon. Some items haven’t been seen in the shop for a couple of years, yet many of them will return by the end of the year.
Some controversial Fortnite cosmetics may never return to the Item Shop due to various reasons. In addition to them, Epic will never return Battle Pass cosmetic items, regardless of the season they were released in. Everything else will, sooner or later, return to the shop.
On Friday, August 11, Epic Games brought back one of the rarest Fortnite items of all time.
Many rare Fortnite skins and cosmetic items will return to the Item Shop
Epic Games keeps refreshing Fortnite’s Item Shop every 24 hours. While some cosmetics return every few days, some of them have been vaulted for a couple of years. Globetrotter, an Uncommon glider, was vaulted for more than four years. However, it returned to the shop on Friday night.
The glider was first released in Chapter 1 – Season 8. More specifically, Epic added it to the game on April 22, 2019. Before Friday, Globetrotter was released to the Item Shop only three times, which made it one of the rarest Fortnite cosmetic items of all time.
The once-rare Fortnite glider wasn’t available for 1,529 days, but many players grabbed it as soon as it returned to the Item Shop. However, it is no longer as rare as it used to be.
Before its return, Globetrotter was the sixth-rarest Fortnite glider. Mako is still the rarest glider and will likely never return to the shop, while the Heartspan glider, a Valentine’s Day 2019 exclusive, is in second place.
