Fortnite Chapter 4 – Season 3 is slowly coming to an end. The season has been fun and it introduced some fantastic new items to the video game. However, its scheduled end date is in late August, which means that we’re in the final two weeks of Season 3.

Unfortunately, the season will not end with a live event. Despite that, Epic Games will use an interesting in-game event to introduce players to Chapter 4 – Season 4. The event was just activated and can be seen in the game.

Here’s what the event means for the game and how it will develop by the end of the season.

Giant laser has appeared in Fortnite, and many players don’t know what it means

The Apparatus is a landmark located in the jungle biome. It’s been a big part of this season’s storyline, and that is why a giant laser beam is coming out of there. The landmark has a big telescope that’s aiming at the sky, and this is just the first stage of the event.

The multi-stage Fortnite event will introduce players to Chapter 4 – Season 4. The new season is scheduled to come out on August 25, and the event will reach its conclusion by then. At the moment, players can only see a laser, but more details will appear in just a few days.

Later on, the laser beam will intensify and reveal the astral map on the sky. While no one knows what this means right now, it’s likely an escape plan for the loopers. It appears that The Last Reality will soon return, and will try to destroy the map once again.

While this certainly isn’t as exciting as a live event, it’s a nice addition to Fortnite. The next live event will likely happen at the end of Chapter 4, which may arrive as early as November this year.
