Epic Games released a couple of big Fortnite updates over the past few weeks. Chapter 4 – Season 4 was released less than a month ago, yet it’s received a lot of new content. While the last official update was on Tuesday, September 19, Epic also released a smaller one on Wednesday.

The latest update might be small, but it brought big balance changes. Three items were nerfed with it, which is not something many players like. One of these items is The Foundation’s MK-Seven Assault Rifle, a powerful Mythic weapon.

Besides the rifle, Epic also reduced the effectiveness of a couple of other items. Fortunately, several weapons have been buffed as well.

The latest Fortnite update brought much-needed buffs and nerfs

TNTina’s Ka-Boom Bow used to be the most disappointing Mythic weapon in Fortnite Chapter 4 – Season 4. However, Epic Games buffed it, hoping to make it more popular. The weapon now charges, reloads, and charges faster. Zyg and Choppy’s Ray Gun is also much faster after the last Fortnite update.

Havoc Suppressed Assault Rifle hasn’t been very popular this season, but that may change soon. Epic buffed its damage and fire rate, making it much better. The Gunnar Stinger SMG also received a damage buff and is now much easier to control due to decreased recoil.

Unfortunately for many players, several weapons have been nerfed as well. The Foundation’s MK-Seven Assault Rifle now deals less damage and shoots slower. It’s still quite effective and one of the best weapons in the video game, but it’s no longer overpowered.

Slurp Juice is rarer, while it’s no longer possible to quickly switch between two or more Sticky Grenade Launchers. Finally, Epic Games also reduced the fire rate of the explosive weapon, while its reload time was increased.
