Honkai Impact 3rd, the 3D anime fighting RPG from miHoYo – and sibling of course to global megahit MMOG Genshin Impact – is coming to Steam in a few short weeks. There was a rumor that Honkai would be Steam-bound over a month ago, but it’s now official and you can add Honkai Impact 3rd to your Steam wishlist as of right now.

Honkai Impact 3rd is a free-to-play action game that our Vince likens to “Devil May Cry with Gacha women.” He’s not a fan of Genshin Impact (the fool) but can see himself getting into Honkai Impact in a big way when it releases on Steam later this month. Of course, he doesn’t have to wait for it to unlock on Steam, as the game has long been available to download via the game’s official website. Honkai Impact is currently in it’s 5.1 “Pristine Realm” incarnation, with 5.2 “Hyperion Lounge” due to premiere later today.

Weirdly, while Honkai Impact will be making an entrance on Steam, you can’t yet download and play Genshin Impact on Valve’s ubiquitous delivery platform, as it’s currently exclusive to the Epic Game Store. No doubt both will migrate in the fullness of time to be available across both, but it’s strange to see the anime siblings divided between the competing PC storefronts.

With Honkai Impact coming to Steam, Gensin Impact 2.2 releasing this week, and Honkai: Star Rail going into beta, miHoYo is certainly going all-out to… wait for it… make an impact.
