Hogwarts Legacy is finally here for everyone, regardless if you bought the Deluxe Edition or Standard version of the game.

The team at WePC and Videogamer have spent more than 40 hours tackling the Wizarding World, clocking up more than 40 hours of play time so far.

But that doesn’t scratch the surface. To do all the quests, side quests and find the collectables dotted around the huge map, Harry Potter fans can expect to spend more than 70 hours in the game.

Sadly when you do complete the main quests there is no new game plus… yet. Could we see that as part of a DLC pack a couple of months after release? And does Warner Bros. and Avalanche Studios have any plans for DLC in the near future?

Here’s everything you need to know about Hogwarts Legacy DLC, namely – what we expect to arrive.

Hogwarts Legacy DLC plans – will Hogwarts Legacy have DLC?

So, we’ve already had the first bit of DLC which came as part of the Digital Deluxe Edition. Here, Harry Potter fans got access to the following:

  • Standard full game of Hogwarts Legacy
  • Dark Arts Cosmetic Set
  • Dark Arts Battle Arena
  • Thestral Mount
  • Onyx Hippogriff Mount
  • 72 Hours Early Access

The digital deluxe version included both the cross-gen upgrade and the cosmetic Dark Arts Garrison Hat.

  • Cross-Gen Upgrade

At the time of writing, there has been no DLC officially confirmed for Hogwarts Legacy – and nothing has been stated on the official FAQ. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean we won’t see any in the future.

One of the more notable omissions from Hogwarts Legacy was Quidditch – especially as there are wonderful broom flying mechanics in the game. In an FAQ on the game’s official website, Warner and Avalanche stated: “Quidditch is not playable in Hogwarts Legacy.

However, broom flight for traversal and broom race challenges are part of the game. Players can also fly brooms to explore new and familiar locations surrounding Hogwarts Castle.”

We do think however that Quidditch could well make its way to the game at some point in the future.

In fact, and take this with a pinch of salt, but some claim files relating to the mode exist, suggesting it’s a matter of when not if. Again, nothing has been confirmed, but it certainly gives us hope that Quidditch could find its way to the Legacy at some point.

What is much more likely to arrive are a series of cosmetics – much like we have seen already – arrive in the future. We also expect to see a new game plus appear at some point, much like the incoming feature for God of War Ragnarok.

Remember, if you are buying Hogwarts Legacy and are after the most content possible, opt for the Deluxe Edition – as you cannot upgrade from the Standard Edition once you’ve purchased.
