Sony A95K 8K resolution?
The Sony A95K does not have an 8K display. Instead it has a 4K resolution. At the moment 4K is still pretty good and the difference on a 65-inch TV is only really percevable from very close distance. Most media is still produced in 4K too so 8K is only really applicable to a finite number of things.
Sony do however have some options if you have your heart set on an 8K display. The Z9K and Z9J are both 8K offerings from Sony but you’ll be paying a pretty penny if you want to get your hands on one!

Is no 8K a problem on the A95K?
As we mentioned before the Sony A95K is not an 8K TV, but this isn’t really a problem. More media is transitioning to have an 8K version, films for instance are often getting an 8K release these days however 8K technology is still in its infancy really and is by no means a necessity at the moment. The other thing worth mentioning is that to make the most of an 8K display you really need a big TV, or to be sitting incredibly close to a smaller one. The A95K is only available in 55-inch and 65-inch models therefore you most likely wouldn’t notice a great deal of difference from an 8K display.
