Blizzard Entertainment has revealed a new Overwatch 2 beta FaQ, featuring a huge information dump for the upcoming Overwatch PvP beta. Amongst the new FAQ article is a section on the forthcoming Overwatch 2 beta Twitch Drops campaign, offering players guaranteed entry into the three-week-long beta.
How to get an Overwatch 2 Beta Twitch Drop
To participate in the Overwatch 2 beta twitch campaign, you need to watch a pre-approved streamer for four hours. Once you watch one of the many pre-approved streamers for more than 4 hours, you will be able to get a drop in your inventory. Make sure your twitch account and battle net accounts are linked so you can participate in the Overwatch 2 beta.
It is worth mentioning this campaign only runs from 10:00 AM PT on April 27 to 18:00 PT. this translates to the following timezones relevant to WePC’s audience:
- 13:00 – 21:00 ET
- 18:00 – 02:00 BST
- 19:00 – 03:00 CEST

Once you have yourself an Overwatch 2 beta drop, you need to have your Overwatch client installed. If you do not own Overwatch 1, don’t worry, as Blizzard is placing an Overwatch 1 free trial for those who are jumping in to experiment with the OW 2 beta. From there, click on the Overwatch drop-down menu in the bottom left of the client and then select the Overwatch 2 beta. That way, you can then jump in and play the game.
If you happen to miss the Overwatch 2 beta twitch drops promotion, then you can sign up for beta access the usual way. Blizzard wants to give players access to the Overwatch 2 beta with new invite waves every day. So, keep your eyes peeled on your email if you signed up for the beta the normal method from the launch day of the beta.
