The RTX 4050 laptop, RTX 4060 laptop, and RTX 4070 laptop have now been released (as of the morning of the 22nd of February 2023). But are these new 40-series laptops (including the higher-end RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 devices) worth your time and precious money? What gains to they bring over the previous gen Nvidia laptops?
As is typical, we’ve seen some of these new laptop graphics cards impress (the new RTX 4060 devices), but others disappoint (many of the new RTX 4070 laptops), but even these might still be worth it if you can find them at a good price.

When did the Nvidia 40 series laptops release?
RTX 4080 laptops and RTX 4090 laptops released on February 8th, 2023.

Are Nvidia laptops better than AMD laptops?
We’re yet to see the main AMD Radeon GPU releases for 2023, so it’s difficult to answer how they’ll compare to Nvidia’s offerings, although we can say for sure that Nvidia graphics cards will win out in terms of Ray-Tracing support.
Typically Nvidia always win out for the most powerful graphics cards, on both laptop and desktop, with AMD competing more at the budget to upper-midrange.
This year however the RTX 4060 looks to be a very enticing prospect in the middle range, so we’ll have to wait and see if AMD can take it on.
