As you may know, CES 2024 took place in early January and gave us a massive amount of reveals – this leads us to tracking down the Samsung S95D release date following the chaos of the event. This is Samsung’s latest QD-OLED TV and the sequel to the S95C we saw last year. Much of the same is expected in this high-end display, though we don’t have no speculate anymore since Samsung’s announcement.

QD-OLED TVs look to improve OLED panels (like LG’s new C4) by mixing in Quantum Dot technology for improved brightness, and Samsung have proven this works well. We’ve already got the intel on the S95D specs, and we’ll be discussing the S95D price while we’re here.

Samsung S95D release date

We’re starting to see a pattern with Samsung’s line-up of QD-OLED TVs. Both the two previous models were released early on in the year, and that’s something we expect to see again in 2024. Below you’ll find a brief history of past S95 models.

  • Samsung S95B release date: April 2022
  • Samsung S95C release date: March 2023

Last year Samsung announced the S95C at CES, going on to release it in March. Now that they’ve also announced the S95D at CES in 2024, we’re going to say that availability will be arriving around the same time in March 2024. Leaning on the side of caution, we also wouldn’t be surprised if delays move it back to April.

Some good news is that early listings were spotted on Amazon. Even before they officially came out, we figured that you could actually add a couple of models to your cart to reveal a release time and price. The new QN95D was already listed for a on March 21st, 2024 release date, and it looks like S95D gets the same treatment, as you can see below.

March 21st did indeed turn out to be the actual release date. The pricing has now changed though, as we’ll discuss below.

Samsung S95D specs confirmed

The S95D doesn’t seem too different from the S95C in terms of looks, but there are some improvements to account for. You still get an ultra-thin frame and the Samsung One Connect Box for tidy cable management. One of the biggest features this time round though is the OLED Glare-Free technology.

Samsung S95D price

As you can see from the screenshot further up the page, early Amazon listings revealed the 65-inch and 77-inch models to be priced at $3,397.99 and $4,130.89 respectively. But, as we expected, this didn’t reflect the final launch day pricing. We saw something similar with the new LG OLEDs before it was quickly amended.
