Nvidia’s RTX 4070 Ti has since been replaced by the new and improved Super card, which arrived early this year. Since then, the non-Super card has been enjoying some discounts. They’ve now dropped to lower than ever before, going for $100 less than MSRP on sites such as Amazon and Newegg as they look to clear out stock.
The 4070 Ti is still a capable card for 1440p and even 4K gameplay, so if you want to save some cash while picking up one of the best GPUs currently available on the market, now is a good time to do so. Our RTX 4070 Ti review points out that the price was one of the biggest downsides, but these deals alleviate that issue.
RTX 4070 Ti price drops below $700
The model in question is the MSI Ventus 2X, a dual-fan card which comes in both black and white colorways to suit whatever build you’re going for. This SKU has dropped below $700 on both Amazon and Newegg, as you’ll find in the table below.
Retailer | Deal | Price |
---|---|---|
Amazon | MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB – Black | $689.99 (with $40 coupon applied) |
Amazon | MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB – White | $699.99 |
Newegg | MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB – Black | $689.99 (with $40 promo code applied) |
Newegg | MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB – White | $699.99 |
According to price checking sites such as CamelCamelCamel, this is the lowest ever price on Amazon.
Is it worth it over Super?
As we mentioned, the RTX 4070 Ti is now being cleared out in favor of the newer RTX 4070 Ti Super, which effectively replaces the card with better performance for the same MSRP of $799. Despite that, we’ve spotted many Super cards retailing for well above the $800 mark lately.
When we compared RTX 4070 Ti Super vs 4070 Ti, we can see that the Super edition does indeed provide some improvements, including an increase from 12GB to 16GB VRAM – which will help at higher resolutions. Gains in terms of framerate are decent, but the non-Super card is now great value for money while the price is slashed. If you want to save some money, the 4070 Ti is worth it over Super.
