The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 pre order and Galaxy Tab S9 Plus pre order are now live following the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 July event, which revealed several products along with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 and Galaxy Tab S9+ pre orders, amongst other devices.
The Korean company like to keep things a bit mysterious until the big reveals during the event itself, but much like they did with the launch event of the S23 series back in February they allow people to reserve a pre order for any new devices they launch at the event, which includes any potential Galaxy Tab. Read on for all the info.
Pre order the Galaxy Tab S9 & S9 Plus NOW!
You can now pre order both the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 or Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+, as predicted, pre orders went live during the Galaxy Unpacked event on the 26th July, 2023.
Pre orders will on August 10th, the day before the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra release date on the 11th.

If you pre order the Galaxy Tab S9 or Galaxy Tab S9 Plus you can get the following pre order bonuses:

Why we thought the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 & S9 Plus was coming
Rumors, speculation, and leaks regarding the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 release date & Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus release date have been abundant for a while now, although Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed that they will be coming out. However the below text from the Samsung Unpacked Reservation page strongly suggests we will be seeing at least one new Galaxy Tab unveiled at the event, which will be available for pre order afterwards. It seems very unlikely that this wouldn’t include a new Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 and probably a Galaxy S9+ too.
“For a limited time, while supplies last, reserve upcoming Galaxy phones and/or Galaxy Watches and/or Galaxy Tabs (“Eligible Devices”) on Samsung.com”
Previously to reserve the tablet you completed these steps:
- To reserve any one of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy tablets click on this link to navigate to the reserve page.
- From there you will be required to enter your first name, last name, email, and (if you like) your mobile number.
- Once this data has been submitted, you should receive either an email confirmation or (if you supplied your phone number) text confirmation of your reservation.
Essentially this means that if you decide to pre-order one of the new tablets, you will receive $50 Samsung credit, to be used in the Samsung Store at the point of purchase, but only on items other than the tablet itself (e.g. accessories for it or perhaps another device).
The opportunity to reserve the deice will last at latest until the 26th of July i.e. the confirmed date of the Unpacked Event, though it’s possible that Samsung may cut it short if they get enough sign-ups.

Is Samsung releasing a new tablet in 2024?
Although there has been no definitive confirmation from Samsung, we strongly expect them to be releasing a new tablet in Q3 2023, specifically the Galaxy Tab S9 series.

Will there be a tab S9 Ultra?
It seems very likely that if the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series is released that there will indeed be an S9 Ultra within the lineup, given that we saw an S8 Ultra released last time round.
