The LG C4 has started showing up online, first on the LG store, but now we’ve had a look at the Amazon pricing. Directly comparing it to the C3, it certainly doesn’t look like it’s worth the extra cost, as it sets you back over than $900 more than the C3 at the time of writing.

Despite being a contender for the best OLED TV in 2024, the value for money isn’t there for us just yet. People aren’t impressed with the price, coming in even up to a couple of hundred dollars more than last year’s launch. Yes, there are some improvements, but really enough to warrant being an early adopter? Probably not.

65 inch LG C3 deal on Amazon

Save 20% now!

LG C3 Series 65-Inch Class OLED evo 4K

At the moment, only the 65 inch model of the brand-new LG C4 has its priced listed on Amazon, so it makes sense to compare it with the last-gen C3 model. We’ve already written a full LG C3 vs C4 guide if you want to know the exact differences between these two, but the C3 isn’t outdated by any means.

With a usual list price of $1,999.99, the LG C3 now costs just $1,596.99. This 20% discount works out as a saving of $403, which isn’t too shabby at all.

Is there any reason to buy the C4?

With $903 between them while this 20% deal is live, it’s hard to justify buying the C4 unless you really want to upgrade to the latest panel. It does boast some brightness boosts and now up to 144Hz refresh rate, but it doesn’t really make enough difference for most people.

Another thing to consider is that this isn’t even the lowest ever price for the C3 according to price tracking site CamelCamelCamel, so it has already shown the potential to drop further. We hope to see the new C4 become more affordable in the coming weeks and months to remain just even a little more competitive.
