Sons of the Forest is now out in early access after a nail-biting decade of anticipation. To say it’s gone beyond expectations for an early access game would be an understatement. However, no game is without it’s flaws, not that we could pick up on many with Sons of the Forest. I don’t even think you would call the infinite log glitch a flaw.
If you want to learn how to do the infinite log glitch, you’ve come to the right place. There’s two ways you can go about doing this, and we’ll be going into both.
Where to find a shotgun in Sons of the Forest
Sons of the Forest Unlimited Log Glitch
Credit to Youtuber Best Gamer Ali for making a tutorial on this one. For the first of these infinite log glitches, you’ll need to follow these simple steps:
- Find a flat surface (preferably in your base)
- Open the blueprints section of the notebook
- Click on shelter, choose and spawn Small Log Cabin
- Place the blueprint down
- Go to the corner of the cabin (any corner), and stand about 1.5 feet away
- You should see the option to place the log with “E”, instead, look up towards the roof
- As you look up towards the roof, position yourself slightly back until the “C” command is visible
- (That may take some adjusting, take your time)
- Pressing “C” and holding it down will spawn infinite logs until they push you out of the way
- Once you can’t stand there any longer, you can move to a different corner, or move the logs you have just spawned
- Rinse and repeat!
That’s all there is to it with this one, it’s so simple. Give it a try before it gets patched!

Infinite Log ‘Dupe’ Glitch in Sons of the Forest
This one comes courtesy of TagBackTV on Youtube, who goes into an even more simple way to get more logs. It’s been dubbed the Sons of the Forest log duplication glitch. This one’s even more simple, yet doesn’t yield as many logs, merely duplicates an existing one. Here’s how you do it:
- Grab a log and place it down
- Grab a stick and place it down under the log so that the stick is propping up the log
- Walk into the front of the log and stick, nudging it
- This should duplicate the log
- Rinse and repeat the same process

This one may take a little time, but it’s worth it. In the long run, you’ll be able to build quicker, and keep some of the cover of the trees in the surrounding area without clearing them out.
