Baldur’s Gate 3 – Do early access saves carry over?

Unfortunately, early access save data does not carry over to the full release of the game on release day. This means that if you created your dream character in early access, you will need to make them again. Larian Studios released a PSA with clarifications about the full release of the game.

In the PSA, Larian Studios stated that “saves in the Early Access version will not transfer into the final game.” Luckily, since PC players have head over a month head start thanks to the early access version of the game, they will know how to get through the beginning very quickly.

Purchase of early access for Baldur’s Gate 3 will still come with a few bonuses such as digital goodies. These goodies include items included in the digital deluxe edition of the game such as a dice skin, digital OST, and art book.

It is still worth pre-ordering the game on PlayStation so you can get additional bonuses upon release when the second release of the game happens.
