There’s a host of races and classes to choose from in Baldur’s Gate 3. You may even get the chance to multiclass. Do you plan on purchasing the game on PlayStation? If so, you may want to look into the editions. Is the Bladur’s Gate 3 digital deluxe edition worth it?

Baldur’s Gate 3 Digital Deluxe Edition – Is it worth purchasing?

Whether or not the digital deluxe edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 is worth it is up to you, but we’d say it’s worth it if you’re a big fan of the Baldur’s Gate series. The game comes with multiple items for your character, such as additional weapons and headgear. While the standard edition of the game is $69.99, the deluxe edition will cost you $79.99. That is a ten-dollar difference between the two versions of the game.

Currently, the digital deluxe edition of the game is available on the PlayStation Store. Later on, this edition could be available for Xbox. Those who purchased the game on Steam during the early access period will automatically get the digital deluxe edition items for free.

There are items that you won’t get from the Digital Deluxe edition such as a custom sticker sheet, Mind Flayer vs Drow battle diorama, metal tadpole keyring, certificate of authenticity, and 160-page hardcover art book. These are only in the collector’s edition. You will, however, get some pretty impressive digital items to use in the game.

What’s included in the Baldur’s Gate 3 Digital Deluxe Edition?

The following items are included in the digital deluxe edition of Baldur’s Gate 3:

  • 72-hour Early Access to Act 1
  • Divinity Bard Song Pack – Astound audiences by performing this special set of new songs
  • Exclusive Dice Theme A new theme for your system
  • Treasures from Rivellon Pack – A collection of paintings from the Forgotten Realms
  • Adventurer’s Pouch – A collection of camp supplies and potions to help get your journey started
  • Digital Artbook
  • Digital OST
  • Dice Skin

You will also get bonus items from the world of Divinity: Original Sin. This is known as the Treasures of Rivellon Pack and it includes:

  • Mask of the Shapeshifter – Headgear that allows you to change race and appearance on the fly, inspired by Fane of Divinity: Original Sin II
  • Cape of the Red Prince Cloak inspired by the Red Prince of Divinity: Original Sin II
  • Lute of the Merryweather Bard – Playable instrument inspired by Lohse of Divinity: Original Sin II
  • Needle of the Outlaw Rogue – Dagger inspired by Sebille of Divinity: Original Sin II
  • Bicorne of the Sea Beast Headgear inspired by Beast of Divinity: Original Sin II

As you can see, there are a lot of items that you get for the extra $10 tacked on to the price tag of the digital deluxe edition. Since most studios would charge the additional money for only the early access perhaps a skin or two, this is one of the more worthwhile deluxe editions that you can purchase, especially if you like open-world RPGs and are a fan of the Divinity series.
