In a turn-based mode game, you may wonder if there is a pause button in Baldur’s Gate 3. The Baldur’s Gate series has given many fans of the popular Dungeons and Dragons tabletop role-playing game something to enjoy.

With plenty of memorable characters, companions, and enemies alike, there is nothing vanilla about the Baldur’s Gate games. However, some quests may have a timer attached, making wanting to pause and unpause a problem in the entire game.

The RPG Baldur’s Gate 3 by Larian Studios is all about action, even during a paused state. However, have you ever wondered if you can be evil? Perhaps it’s possible to play it offline? But first, follow this guide to learn if there is a pause button in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Can you use a pause button in Baldur’s Gate 3?

Unfortunately, there is no pause button function in Baldur’s Gate 3 on console or PC. As Baldur’s Gate 3 is a turn-based combat game, this mode will allow you to take a slight pause in the game while you figure out what interaction you want to take.

While there isn’t an actual game pause button, there are still ways to take breaks in real time to allow you to breathe.

Players can go to a Camp whenever they like. In doing so, the single player can allow their party members to take a Long or Short Rest when accessing the menu. You can set up Camp anywhere you want. However, it must be outside the combat zone. You can expect to be attacked if you place your Camp anywhere near enemies! However, we recommend a Short rest, which won’t require spending any Camp Supplies.

Players can remove themselves from normal gameplay using this method and return to the game world when they prefer. Whereas if you were to enter Long Rest, you may unintentionally trigger an interaction with your companions or perhaps an enemy turn. Additionally, the Long Rest mode will also advance certain time-sensitive story elements, dialogue, or queue actions. The Long Rest is also used to romance your companions, creating a deeper relationship or spicy time!
