Best talents in Hogwarts Legacy list

We thought it would be a great idea to put all our favorite and best Hogwarts Legacy talents in one place. Thankfully there are plenty of viable builds – and the talents play a key part in this. There is a lot of variation to enjoy, so here are our pick of the bunch at the moment for most builds (and the level required in order to learn them).

  • Swift (Level 5) – Core Talent – Holding down dodge causes you to vanish for a brief moment. This works wonders if you’re struggling in combat starting out. All early level Core talents are worth picking up in our opinion.
  • Protego Absorption (Level 5) – Core Talent – Successful Protego blocks build your Ancient Magic Meter. Perfecting your defense is just as important as a good offense, especially when you’re rewarded for it with meter build.
  • Human Demiguise (Level 5) – Stealth Talent – Allows you to sprint during Disillusionment. This is incredibly useful, even if you aren’t going for a stealth build. Great for exploring areas quickly without alerting many enemies.
  • Confringo Mastery (Level 5) – Spells Talent – Confringo impacts product additional bolts that seek enemy targets. Confringo is a useful damage dealing spell you’ll want to use often, and this upgrade widens it’s effectiveness with auto-seeking fiery bolts.
  • Glacius Mastery (Level 16) – Spells Talent – Attacking an enemy frozen by Glacius causes damaging shards to split outward from the target. Similar to the Confringo Mastery, this is all about dealing more effective damage without having to cast additional spells.
  • Maxima Potion Potency (Level 16) – Room of Requirement Talent – Maxima Potion causes attacks to deal more damage and break enemy shields. This is an amazing talent to learn, even if you aren’t going all out with the Room of Requirement skill tree.
  • Curse Sapper (Level 22) – Dark Arts Talent – Defeating a cursed enemy restores some of your health. If you’re going for a Dark Arts build and applying a lot of curses, this is the talent you want to work towards. Health regeneration without having to rely on healing items is great.

Best talents to learn in Hogwarts Legacy

Due to the fact that there are five categories of skill trees where you’ll find your talents, it may be hard to know where to start. We find that talents which help you out in combat should be prioritized. These Talent Trees are as follows:

  • Spells
  • Dark Arts
  • Core
  • Stealth
  • Room of Requirement

We suggest starting off with some of the Core skill tree talents. As the name suggests, Core talents are focused on improving your general spells or skills overall. Something such as Basic Cast Mastery causes your basic attacks to reduce your spell cooldowns. Something as passive as this means you can start off with some valuable upgrades without overwhelming yourself.

If you have a particular spell which is a favorite of yours, head towards the Spells skill tree. This is where you’ll be able to upgrade individual spells. For example, we have great fun with control spells such as Accio and Levioso. Upgrading these will give them a wider area of effect, controlling multiple targets at once (which is great fun).
