There is plenty of fantastic gear to get in Blizzard’s latest entry in the hellish Diablo series, Diablo IV on PC and consoles, so you can be more powerful than the surrounding enemies found in Sanctuary.

From awesome Legendaries, incredible Uber Uniques, Murmuring Obols, and more, there are endless equipment pieces and Aspects to find in-game that will help you take on both the main quest and the endgame.

If you’re on the hunt and need help getting the Accelerating Aspect in Diablo IV, we’re here to show you how.

Diablo 4 – How to get Accelerating Aspect

The Accelerating Aspect is an offensive Legendary Aspect that can only be found by extracting the Aspect from a Legendary item already imprinted with it at the Occultist, the Purveyors of Curiosities. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to unlock this in the Codex of Power utility, you’ll need to find it in the open world on another Legendary item.

You can visit the Occultist to extract the Aspect from whatever Legendary it’s attached to and imprint it on your desired gear once you have found it, but be aware that once the Accelerating Aspect has been imprinted once, you can’t extract it and imprint it again.

This is true for most of the best Aspects that can be found in Diablo 4, so they won’t be easy to find. Try fighting through dungeons, hunting world bosses, and opening mystery chests in the Helltide on a higher world tier to farm Legendaries.

Accelerating Aspect in Diablo 4

The Accelerating Aspect is an offensive Aspect that increases your attack speed by 15 to 25% for a duration of five seconds after landing a Critical Strike with a direct damage Core Skill. This gain greatly increases your character’s speed and makes them deadly to any foe. There’s no bonus damage or increase in movement speed, but the bonuses will help you create a flurry of attacks in a short time with this rapid Aspect. It’s fantastic for a close enemy or dark minions in a cluster for crowd control of demons, corpses, and more to get in plenty of base damage with your blades.

Any of the five classes from Diablo IV, including the Necromancer, Barbarian, Druid, Rogue, and Sorcerer are able to use the Accelerating Aspect resource on any of the following types of gear:

  • One-Handed Weapon
  • Two-Handed Weapon
  • Gloves
  • Amulet
  • Ring

We’d recommend using this stunning Aspect on either a Two-Handed Weapon, which will have its power increased by 100%, or on an Amulet, where its power will increase by 50%. Make sure to choose wisely which gear you use the Accelerating Aspect on, and especially pick those with a high Critical Strike chance. Unfortunately, no other types of gear can have the Accelerating Aspect, so don’t bother trying to put it on boots or pants.

The Whirlwind Barbarian in particular is great for the Accelerating Aspect, where you can spend Fury to cast Whirlwind, dash forward and rapidly attack enemies with a high Lucky Hit Chance. You’ll get plenty of Critical Strike damage to speed up even faster. You’ll be deadlier than a hurricane.

Where can I find the Accelerating Aspect in Diablo 4?

The Accelerating Aspect can only be found by extracting it from Legendary gear you’ve obtained that already had the Aspect imprinted on it. You cannot unlock it in the Codex of Power.

Can I imprint the Aspect multiple times?

No, once the Accelerating Aspect has been imprinted once it cannot be extracted and imprinted again. Choose which gear to use it on wisely!
