The endgame of Diablo IV from Blizzard has a plethora of activities to complete after you’ve beaten the hateful Lilith and saved Sanctuary from her wrath.

From Grim Favors as the Tree of Whispers to Nightmare Dungeons, there will be plenty for you to complete and gain more power as you journey to level 100.

The Helltide events are one of these activities, and because the Helltides are on a schedule, we’ve taken the liberty of getting the schedule for the Helltides together for you.

Helltide Timer schedule for Diablo 4

The Helltide events in Diablo IV run on a timer where a Helltide lasts for one hour and then is off for two hours and 15 minutes before another pops up.

Helltides will last for one hour, and if one is currently active, you can travel to the region the Helltide is occurring and remain there for the entire duration. From the moment the Helltide recedes, you will then have to wait two hours and 15 minutes before another one occurs.

There’s a chance you will be in the Helltide region when it begins, but this is unlikely due to the fact that Helltides are able to occur in all five regions of Sanctuary:

  • Fractured Peaks
  • Hawezar
  • Scosglen
  • Kehjistan
  • Dry Steppes

Because the Helltide zone can be anywhere and only take up a small section of one region, there’s only a small chance you’ll actually be in the Helltide zone when it starts. However long it takes you to travel to the Helltide location, you’ll lose from the timer.

As said above, Helltides only last for one hour, so if a Helltide has been active for 20 minutes and you’re not there, you’ll have only the remaining 40 minutes to gather Abberant Cinders and Forgotten Souls, open Tortured Gifts, and more that the Helltide zone will offer before you have to wait again.

The Helltide will wash over the active area with blood red and be filled with terrifyingly powerful foes, as well as exclusive chests and events, so make sure you are geared up and ready to go.
