There are plenty of dungeons in the open world of Sanctuary for Diablo IV players to fight their way through against powerful enemies and Elites.
Dungeons are filled with great loot and rewards and can be reset an indefinite amount of times both as normal dungeons and Nightmare Dungeons to farm them for the best gear.
But they aren’t always easy to find. If you need help finding the location of the Onyx Hold dungeon in Diablo IV, look no further.
Where to find the Onyx Hold in Diablo 4
The Onyx Hold dungeon can be found in the Dry Steppes region of Sanctuary, as part of the Onyx Watchtower area in the region. It’s due East of Dindai Flats. We’ve circled it on the map below so it’s easy for you to find the dungeon entrance.
The dungeon has a convenient waypoint right next to it, The Onyx Watchtower waypoint, so it’s incredibly easy to fast travel back to once you’ve unlocked that waypoint.
Diablo 4 – Onyx Hold dungeon
In order to unlock the dungeon, you’ll first have to beat the Onyx Watchtower Stronghold that’s been taken over by bandits, and then you’ll be given access to Onyx Hold. You can’t enter the dungeon until you’ve beaten the stronghold, so make sure to clear that first and unlock the waypoint.
This dungeon is set to level 48, so if you’re significantly lower than that, we don’t recommend trying to beat it just yet.
The Onyx Hold is a large dungeon filled with Languishing Corpses, ghosts, and other foes to defeat as the requirements to beat it, but luckily there is no boss you have to fight, as the Languishing Corpses are Elite enemies that are considered the final bosses.
Once you’ve successfully finished them off, you’ll unlock the Storm Swell Aspect in your Codex of Power. The Storm Swell Aspect is an offensive Aspect for Sorcerers that deal 11% increased damage to Vulnerable enemies while you have a Barrier activated.
This dungeon is well worth looking for, especially for Sorcerers and Sorcereresses in search of a great Legendary Aspect for their build, so we’d definitely recommend checking it out.
Where is the Onyx Hold in Diablo?
The Onyx Hold dungeon is in the Onyx Watchtower area in the Dry Steppes region of Sanctuary. You can find it East of Dindai Flats.
What is the reward for Onyx Hold in Diablo?
Once completed, the Onyx Hold unlocks the Storm Swell Legendary Aspect in the Codex of Power. This Aspect can only be used by Sorcerers, though.
