In this guide we’ll show you How to complete ‘Temple of Rot’ in Diablo 4. The open world of Sanctuary has plenty of places to explore and loot while you journey across the land in pursuit of Lilith. Nightmare Dungeons, cellars, and more await you through the main campaign and the endgame content, including strongholds.
One of those strongholds includes the Temple of Rot, and if you need help completing it, look no further.
Where is the Temple of Rot in Diablo 4?
You can find the Temple of Rot in the Untamed Scarps region of Dry Steppes. It is just East of the Fields of Hatred, and if you have the Jirandai waypoint unlocked, you can head North from there. We’ve marked it on the map below for convenience.
How to beat ‘Temple of Rot’ quest in Diablo 4
Once you’ve found the temple, you’ll immediately face Bostar the Breaker. Bostar is the first of several Elite cannibal enemies sent by Molqarth you’ll have to beat as you head further into the temple. You’ll have to take him down first, but this won’t unlock the door behind him.
Take the path to the left to go around it, which will lead into the main temple entrance where you’ll face the next Elite, Corpse Spawn, Child of the Devourer. Once you’ve beaten him, head further in until you find the next foe, Razorface the Carrion Zealot.
Once he’s been beaten, keep going even further until you find the last Elite enemy, the Champion Arden the Ravenous. Once you’ve beaten him, it’s finally time to take down Molqarth himself.
How to complete ‘Temple of Rot’ in Diablo 4
Keep heading to the North end of the temple, where eventually you’ll have to face Molqarth’s Chosen as the final enemies before you can fight the stronghold’s boss. There are three chosen, Fleshtearer, Blooddrinker, and Bonecruncher. Once these cannibals are down, you’ll be able to find Molqarth.
Molqarth the Hungerer is a giant, bloated cannibal who sits in the ritual circle in the Temple of Rot. You can see an egg directly in front of him, and he’ll search out more during the fight to restore health. Try to destroy the eggs to prevent him from doing this.
You’re still not quite done once Molqarth is down, though, as the Temple of Rot will then have you face the Spawn of Molqarth, the actual final boss of the temple. The spawn doesn’t have as much health as Molqarth, but has strong melee attacks, so keep moving around and you should be able to beat it.
Finally, the Temple of Rot has no more bosses for you to fight. You can enjoy the 100 Renown the stronghold rewards you with, but sadly nothing else unlocks from the Temple of Rot.
