The open world of Sanctuary in Blizzard’s hellish Diablo IV has plenty of activities to keep you occupied on your journey, from world bosses to dungeons, and of course, side quests.

Side quests like The Way of the Three and Reject the Mother quests are great ways to earn extra XP and rewards while you take on the main campaign.

One of the side quests is Traveler’s Superstition, and if you need help completing it, that’s what we’re here to show you.

Diablo 4 – how to beat Traveler’s Superstition quest

The Traveler’s Superstition side quest can be picked up in the Rotspill Delta zone of the Hawezar region of Sanctuary, found on the Southeastern coast of the map. We’ve marked the exact location below so it’s easy to find.

Once you find the Hastily Scrawled Note that marks the quest, it will read “Pay your respects to her, and she will see you safely on your way. Ignore her, and suffer the fate of these poor fools.” This can be confusing if you don’t know what to do, but the riddle is very simple.

All you need to do is use the Hello emote while facing the giant statue of a woman on a shipwreck right next to the note you picked up, surrounded by corpses. You can bring up the emote wheel by:

  • Clicking the E key on keyboard
  • Hitting Up on the D-pad on consoles

This is another emote quest that can seem impossible if you don’t know what to do, but can be completed in seconds once started.

After you’ve successfully said hello to the statue, a chest will appear for you to reap the rewards and you’ll gain the experience points for the quest. Make sure to pick up and read the note before emoting at the statue, as nothing will happen if you haven’t already picked it up. You can still wave hello to her, but you won’t get any loot for doing so.
