Getting your engine room bang on in FIFA is very important, whether you’re playing a midfield two, three or even a four it has to be balanced with each player offering something different.
As we approach FIFA 23, it’s time to start thinking about who the ideal signings will be for your midfield. Below we have compiled a list of the players we think will be great additions to any midfield.
The list will have defensive midfielders (DM), central midfielders (CM) and then attacking midfielders (CAM), someone you would use in the hole behind a striker. The players below won’t be the best players in the game, but they should be perfect for building a squad on FIFA 23’s Career Mode.

What you want is for them to be young, with bags of potential so you can flip them for profit as your team grows to become one of the best in the world. The Overalls below will be predicted using current form as well as their rating from FIFA 22.

The list of players above should all be available when the game releases straight away, meaning none of the players have recently moved, or are out on loan.
You also may have noticed that players like Pedri are missing from the list, despite being young and full of potential. This is because Barcelona are never going to sell him, unless they really have to.
