There is a lot that you can do in Final Fantasy 16 from checking out the amazing combat to learning the story of protagonist Clive’s revenge for his younger brother Joshua’s death. Final Fantasy XVI is sure to please any fan of the Square Enix series.
Throughout your journey, you will encounter various enemies that are tougher than the rest. These Notorious Marks are extremely powerful and will give you a run for your money. Each of these enemies has a rank that dictates how difficult they are to complete.
When you want a true challenge in this single-player adventure, head to the hunt board to learn about more targets. Track these enemies down in the large world. This guide will show you everything you need to know about hunt battles in Final Fantasy 16.
Final Fantasy 16 – What are hunt battles?
Simply put, hunt battles are fights against difficult opponents known as Notorious Marks. These tough monsters spawn in various sections of Valisthea and will throw off the gameplay as you the challenge suddenly gets ramped up.
Ign shared a video of how hunt battles work. In the IGN first video, Clive can be seen battling two of these Notorious Marks; Grimalkin and Atlas. Hunt battles are linked to the hunt board in Cid’s Hideaway.
Check out the hunt board to learn about targets in the various map locations. Complete these small quests for additional rewards. Completing them will also increase your Renown, allowing you to get more donations from NPCs.
Those who wish to check out the game before purchasing it can download the demo and try out the first few hours of the game. The demo won’t let you try out these hunt missions but it will give you a sense of how the combat system works in the game.
Remember to try out all of the powerful Eikons you will have access to such as Garuda, Phoenix, Titan, and even Bahamut.
