Final Fantasy 16 has many quests to complete, items to find, and notorious marks to track down. If you want to get the best sword and armor in the game, you will need to do a lot of searching because it comes at a cost.
Hidden throughout Rosaria, Sanbreque, Dhalmekia, and other parts of Valisthea are legendary creatures that each hold the item you seek; Orichalcum. This material is stronger than Darksteel and is used to forge the greatest weapons.
The world of Valisthea is a large place and tracking down all of these notorious marks will prove to be difficult. Do you have what it takes to obtain Orichalcum? It is much harder to get than a simple Gelatinous Mass. This guide will show you how to get Orichalcum in Final Fantasy 16.
Where to find Orichalcum in Final Fantasy 16
To obtain Orichalcum in Final Fantasy 16, you need to track down four S-rank notorious marks off the hunt board in the Hideaway. These marks are Atlas (The Breaker of Worlds), Svarog (Ruin Reawakened), The Behemoth King, and Gorgimera (The Tricephalic Terror).
Seeing as how these are the toughest notorious marks in the game, they will not go down easily and will require you to be stocked up on as many potions as you can carry. They will also require you to use all of your abilities at their full potential.
The notorious marks you are looking for can be found in the following locations:
- Atlas, The Breaker of Worlds:
- Found in a field to the east of Cressida. This location is near Martha’s Rest and Eastpool.
- Svarog, Ruin Reawakened:
- Found in Mornebrume in the southeast of Sanbreque.
- Gorgimera, The Tricephalic Terror:
- Found in the Velkroy Desert in the Dhalmekian Republic.
- The Behemoth King:
- Found southeast of the Vidargraes Obelisk in Waloed.
Defeating all of these marks will get you Orichalcum which is needed to craft the Gotterdammerung sword. There is more to crafting this blade than just obtaining the Orichalcum. You also need to create the Ragnarok weapon, complete the Blacksmith Blues side quest for Blackthorne, and progress very far into the main story.
