Resident Evil games are filled with different puzzles for you to complete and the Resident Evil 4 Remake is no exception to this. Pretty late in the game, you will find yourself alone, playing as Ashley. During this time, you will need to solve a few puzzles to make your way back to Leon. One of these puzzles is the clock puzzle. Solve it correctly and you get to move on down to the mausoleum section of the castle. Be careful, however, because time does change. Here is how you complete the clock puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Resident Evil 4 Remake Grandfather Clock puzzle solution
After completing the chimera statue in the grand hall section of the castle, you will get a cutscene where Leon and Ashley get separated. After this cutscene, you will play as Ashley as she tries to get back to Leon. Navigate through the hallways and make your way to the library. You won’t have any of the game’s many weapons here, so keep on your guard.
After navigating the library, you will eventually activate the elevator that takes you up to a small room with a typewriter. Make sure to save your game before progressing forward. In this room, you will see a grandfather clock-style door blocking you from progressing further into the chapter. Luckily, solving this puzzle is quite simple and takes just a bit of looking around.

In the back corner of this room, behind the bookshelves, you will find a desk that is covered in blood and debris. Look on the desk to find a note. This note will read that the time is 11:04 or 7:00 This is the answer you are looking for. If you are playing on Assisted or Standard difficulty, the solution to the puzzle will be 11:04 but if you are playing on Hardcore or Professional difficulty, the solution will be 7:00. Walk up to the clocks and move the hands to the correct time.
When this happens, you will hear the door chime and it will open, granting you access to the next room. There are two doors in the area that you can open in this way. Make sure to remember the time for future uses. After this, you will need to get ready to kill Verdugo so make sure you have enough weapons.
