After joining a Grand Company in Final Fantasy XIV, you need to increase your rank in it. This is because staying at the lowest rank provides no major benefits. If you’re currently confused about it, continue reading as we are going to explain how to rank up Grand Company in Final Fantasy XIV.

How to increase your rank in a Grand Company in Final Fantasy XIV

To rank up Grand Company, you will need to use Grand Company Seals and complete certain quests, which might require you to explore dungeons. For this, visit the Personnel Officer in the Company’s HQ and talk to him.

After you choose ‘Apply for Promotion,’ he will provide you with the requirements to climb the Grand Company ranks, which can be seen below. Keep in mind that your starting rank will be Private Third Class.

1. Private Second Class: Pay 2000 Grand Company Seals.
2. Private First Class: Pay 3000 Grand Company Seals.
3. Corporal: Pay 4000 Grand Company Seals.
4. Sergeant Third Class: Pay 5000 Grand Company Seals and complete Rank 1 in your Grand Company Hunting Log.
5. Sergeant Second Class: Pay 6000 Grand Company Seals.
6. Seargent First Class: Pay 7000 Grand Company Seals.
7. Chief Sergeant: Pay 8000 Grand Company Seals and complete the ‘Shadows Uncast’ quest.
8. Second Lieutenant: Pay 9000 Grand Company Seals, increase your Grand Company Hunting Log Rank to 2, and complete the ‘Gliding the Bilious’ quest.
9. First Lieutenant: Pay 10,000 Grand Company Seals and complete the ‘Crystal Recovery’ Flagged Mission in Adventurer Squadrons.
10. Captain: Complete five Command Missions with your Squadron in Adventurer Squadrons and then complete the ‘Sapper Strike’ Flagged Mission. You don’t have to pay any seals for this one.

Tips to quickly rank up Grand Company

As it can get pretty tough to acquire a lot of FFXIV Grand Company Seals, there are methods that can help speed up the process.

First, we suggest you start doing FATEs and Duty Roulettes. These can also help level up fast in Final Fantasy XIV as they provide you with XP (experience points) and other bonuses/rewards. Then, you should start doing supply and provision missions. You can do one per day for your Grand Company, and completing them will reward you with seals.

After you have reached the Sergeant Second Class in your Grand Company, you will unlock Expert Delivery. This allows you to sell unwanted rare weapons or gear to the Grand Company in return for seals. Furthermore, this is considered the best way to increase a rank in Grand Company, but the method isn’t available from the start.
