Sons of the Forest is one of the most anticipated survival-horror games and is coming out 23rd of February, following the success of the first game in 2018. Well, put shortly, nothing will change in terms of the multiplayer function of Sons of the Forest from the first game. You can go in alone or with friends in up to 8-player cooperative multiplayer.

As for queries about split-screen and local cooperative with friends, as it stands in early access, neither local co-op, combo co-op (local + online), split-screen or LAN play will be available.

Just like The Forest, the PC version supports up to 8 players in P2P. However, it’s unconfirmed that if you want to play with more players, you will need to run a Dedicated Server.

According to the fandom site, Virginia is the woman seen in the Sons of The Forest Trailers. Her name is shared with the multiple legged mutant of the first game, and shares the trait of multiple limbs, but is still quite different as well as having her humanity intact.
