How to get Turtle Shells in Sons of the Forest

In Sons of The Forest, you can encounter two types of turtles: sea turtles and tortoises. But Turtle Shells will only drop from sea turtles, which can be found on the beaches in the most western, northern, eastern, and southern parts of the island.

Tortoises will not drop Shells, and unfortunately the drop rate for shells on Sea Turtles is not 100%, so you may have to dispose of a few before you pick up a shell.

Since the game is in Early Access, we can expect many more improvements in the coming weeks and months. Perhaps this is just a way for the developers to encourage exploring additional techniques, rather than returning to our same old habits from The Forest right off the bat.
