Madden 24 is the latest entry from EA Sports and it brings back the supremely popular X Factors. Debuting in Madden 20, these abilities were given to certain star players who, after completing some in-game achievements, would essentially become an unstoppable force. Defensive ends became unblockable, quarterbacks could hit every single throw they attempted, and running backs became impossible to tackle.

In Madden 24, there are once again plenty of them, as well as the Superstar Abilities. These differ but are still helpful. If you’re interested in which X-Factor ability is the best, look no further. Whether you’re looking for a team to manage or want to know what you should aim for with a new player, here’s which abilities reign supreme.

What’s the best X Factor in Madden 24?

Arguably the best overall X-Factor ability is Double Me. This wide receiver-centric ability allows your wideout to win aggressive catches against single coverage. If Justin Jefferson is covered by one defender, throwing up the ball and pressing Y for an aggressive catch will yield a completion more often than not.

For the halfback position, Ankle Breaker is a very good one. You can send Christian McCaffrey out on a route and once he makes the catch, he will be even more slippery than usual. Madden NFL 24 defenses will have a very frustrating time with him or any running back.

For a quarterback, the best one is Bazooka. If you have a receiver get past his defender, it’s imperative to throw it ahead of him. A shorter throw allows the defense to get under it and make a play. This ability can be a touchdown-maker.

On defense, the Fearmonger ability is good. If Aaron Donald is being double-teamed, he only needs to get close enough to the QB in the backfield to put pressure on the pocket and influence the play. This is useful for linebackers, edges, and interior defensive linemen as well.

Right now, players like Derrick Henry, Davante Adams, Mark Andrews, Chris Jones, Ja’Marr Chase, Saquon Barkley, Von Miller, Lavonte David, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson (Truzz is unique to Jackson), Mike Evans, Nick Chubb, Josh Allen, Jalen Ramsey, and others have X Factors.

Here is the full list of X Factors you can get for your Superstar or a player in franchise mode.

X Factors differ from superstar abilities, which include such examples as Runoff Elite, Edge Threat Elite, El Toro, Speedster, Pick Artist, and many others. Which X Factor will you target in Madden 24? When lining up at the line of scrimmage (LOS), be sure to check which X Factors are present for your team and the opponent. This can impact your playcalling and decision making in Madden 24, with Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen as the cover athlete.
