Madden 24 features a lot of different blitzes. In general, a zone blitz is a little bit safer because it doesn’t leave the defenders in one-on-one man coverage. It also allows defenders to see the quarterback if they decide to step up in the pocket and run to evade the blitz. If this happens in man defense, the QB often has open field since the defenders’ backs are turned.

With that in mind, using the right zone blitz play can leave your opponent vulnerable and disrupt their gameplay. The offense might not have a counter to your blitz, allowing you to wreak havoc.

What zone blitz should I use in Madden 24?

Hailing from the Baltimore Ravens’ defensive playbook in the dime formation, the FS Middle 3 blitz is a very strong blitz play. A safety is usually among the fastest players on the field, so sending them at the QB is a surefire way to generate some pressure. Leaving everyone else (aside from the defensive tackle and edge rushers) in coverage ensures that there’s no open space on the field.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a very good blitz in one of their nickel formations. The Bench Blitz 3 play is great. It sends one of the cornerbacks past the line of scrimmage and leaves everyone else in zone coverage. The cornerback and linemen rush at an angle that forces the play to the right, where the majority of the zone coverage is focused.

From the New England Patriots playbook (one of the best defensive playbooks overall), comes a unique blitz from the Quarter formation. The FZ 2 Deep blitz is brilliant. It sends one of two cornerbacks from either side at the QB along with a linebacker and defensive lineman. Everyone else remains in zone, which can be a confusing play to deal with as an offense.
