Madden 24 will be available through various methods when it comes out this year. The most common method will be through a straight-up purchase. This can be done digitally or physically, but it’s not cheap either way. Will it be on Game Pass, which often provides gameplay for far less than the $70 a new game demands?

The standard edition of Madden 24 costs $70 USD. The Deluxe Edition, which can be used to earn early access, costs $100 USD. Game Pass is just $25 USD a month, and it offers titles other than EA Sports’ football games. Will Madden 24 find itself on Game Pass in August?

Will Madden 24 be available on Game Pass?

Currently, Madden 24 is not expected to be available on Xbox Game Pass. There are rumors that it will eventually be on the service, which makes sense, but there has been no official announcement as of now.

Multiple versions of Madden 23 and Madden NFL 22 are on the service. It would be surprising if the game never made it onto Game Pass, but it’s not going to be on there at launch.

Since Madden 24, which features Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen on the cover, is a brand new game, it makes sense that it would not be available this way. New games often experience peaks in sales at the very beginning of the launch, so offering it on a subscription runs counter to the sales objective there.

Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass are effectively the same service for different platforms. They’re both from Microsoft, so the game library is the same. As a result, neither platform will have Madden 24 on the Game Pass subscription.

EA Play is in conjunction with Game Pass, so most Electronic Arts games are available to subscribers there. At this moment, that doesn’t include EA’s latest Madden entry. EA Play Pro is the same.

It is expected to arrive on Game Pass at some point towards the end of the NFL season in February, perhaps near the Super Bowl. Until then, prospective players will have to consider whether or not the updated roster and new enhancements are worth the $70 price tag. These include realistic player movement, new throw animations, variety of positions, and skill-based passing.

Note that Game Pass is available on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The features on next-gen consoles differ, but the service does not. Try it out today and play Franchise mode with new FieldSENSE and SAPIEN technology!
