Madden 24 will be the latest entry to the smash hit video game franchise. It’s one of the longest-running sports game franchises out there as it has lasted over 25 years now. Through the years, it’s been available on many different consoles, including the Nintendo 64, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, and PC. Will the PlayStation 5 have the latest entry?

PlayStation 5 is the current-gen console and it is one of the most powerful devices out there. It features some of the most impressive features currently available in the world of gaming. Will it have Madden 24 for its players to enjoy?
Will Madden 24 be on PS5?
Yes, Madden 24 – which features Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen on the cover – will be on PlayStation 5. The game is not exclusive to certain platforms. There have been exclusive sports games in the past. For example, prior to 2022, all MLB The Show games were PlayStation exclusives made by Sony. Madden, however, has never been exclusive to a console.
A day is coming when older consoles will be phased out and no longer have new games made for them. The PlayStation 3 had that experience in 2020, so the shelf life for these consoles is pretty long.
Fortunately, the PS5 is the pinnacle of console gaming right now and it’s only a few years old. There are currently no plans for a PlayStation 6, so the timeline for the PlayStation 5 is far from the end. The PlayStation 4, on the other hand, can probably see the light soon.
As a result, all new games that aren’t console exclusives will be headed to PlayStation 5 and yes, that includes Madden 24. When EA Sports’ latest entry hits shelves and digital downloads, PS5 users can head to their local retailer or the PlayStation shop and begin taking greater control of their Madden journey.
Not only will Madden 24 be on PS5, but it will have many a variation that older consoles don’t. These version features include a smarter AI system, realistic player reactions, realistic player movement, enhanced gameplay foundation, new throw animations, skill-based passing, the newest iteration of FieldSense and Sapien Technology, and feature crossplay.
Every mode will be on PS5 as well and it will, as all platforms do, have a deluxe edition. The PS5 has capabilities that the PlayStation 4 does not, and Madden makes the leap in gameplay as a result.
Nothing will be unavailable on Madden NFL 24 for PS5, with all new cities and uniforms for franchise mode, new mini-games, camp drills, Superstar Showdown, and more enhancements.
Is Madden 24 out on PS5?
Not yet. The NFL season is not yet here, so the game hasn’t been released. EA likes to time their sports games around the seasons to maximize the shelf life. The game has an upcoming release date of August 18 for all last and next-gen platforms. Early access can be obtained via the deluxe edition of Madden 24 and it will be available as early as August 15.
