In Madden NFL 24, the playbook you use depends heavily on what type of offense you want to run. It also depends on the players you have at your disposal. For example, if you don’t have a good running back, a run-heavy playbook is not going to work out.

Any playbook can work, but having ones with plays you like and formations that work is vital. Weak playbooks won’t derail your team, but strong ones will enhance your skills.

Just like with playbooks, schemes are dependent on the offense you want to run and the players you have. When you’re running a franchise, you can change the schemes. It’s best if you go to schemes and cycle through them to see how well they fit your roster. 

Each scheme will have a percentage by it. This indicates that your roster matches up with this scheme at a 78% clip, for example. The players’ archetypes matter here.
