Who are the best tight ends in Madden NFL 24?
Here are the 10 best tight ends in Madden NFL 24:

- David Njoku – 84 OVR
- Pat Freiermuth – 85 OVR
- Darren Waller – 86 OVR
- Kyle Pitts – 87 OVR
- Dallas Goedert – 89 OVR
- TJ Hockenson – 90 OVR
- Mark Andrews – 95 OVR
- George Kittle – 96 OVR
- Travis Kelce – 99 OVR
Below we’ll go over each player in detail.
10) Evan Engram – 84 OVR
It’s taken a bit of time, but the pedigree that Evan Engram was drafted with is finally starting to show through. He burst onto the scene last year with the Jacksonville Jaguars, scoring a ton of touchdowns. He is rewarded with a top 10 placement in EA Sports’ latest offering.
9) David Njoku – 84 OVR
David Njoku has quietly become one of the most reliable tight ends in football. The Cleveland Browns’ offense struggled without him on the field last season. When healthy, he was prolific and that’s why he’s the ninth-best TE in Madden.
8) Pat Freiermuth – 85 OVR
Pat Freiermuth isn’t as heralded as some of his counterparts at the positions, but make no mistake: He is an excellent tight end. The Pittsburgh Steelers star can do it all from the position and is a reliable target for sophomore QB Kenny Pickett.
7) Darren Waller – 86 OVR
Darren Waller lost most of the 2022 season due to injury and was traded from the Las Vegas Raiders to the New York Giants. People may have forgotten how good he was as a result. There were conversations about him being a top 3 tight end in the NFL, so this placement is warranted for now.
6) Kyle Pitts – 87 OVR
The Atlanta Falcons don’t pass the ball all that much, which is an absolute shame. They employ one of the best and most athletic tight ends in the NFL, and Kyle Pitts’ Madden rating accurately reflects that.
5) Dallas Goedert – 89 OVR
Dallas Goedert usurped Zach Ertz with the Philadelphia Eagles and kept on climbing. He’s now one of the best tight ends in the league as he can catch pretty much anything thrown his way. A top-five rating is more than fair, but don’t be surprised if he continues to ascend.
4) TJ Hockenson – 90 OVR
TJ Hockenson, who was traded from the Detroit Lions to the Minnesota Vikings, is capable of catching a ball anywhere on the field and taking it to the end zone. He’s a rare tight end with incredible yards-after-catch ability as well as exceptional hands. He doesn’t provide much in the blocking department, but he doesn’t need to.
3) Mark Andrews – 95 OVR
Mark Andrews has been Lamar Jackson’s most reliable target for years and he is one of the most steady tight ends. It’s a relatively weak position overall, but the star power, led in part by the Baltimore Ravens’ pass-catcher, is among the best for any position in the NFL.
2) George Kittle – 96 OVR
George Kittle has never had any sort of consistency from the quarterback position, but he routinely puts up over 1,000 yards a season and draws the defense’s best coverage. He’s also one of the best blockers at the position, making him a rare dual-threat tight end.
1) Travis Kelce – 99 OVR
There is no player quite like Travis Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is just about the only target on the KC offense worth covering, but he is always open. The defense, the fans, and everyone in the world know he’s getting the ball, but he is always open and always makes the catch.
