While MW2’s DMZ game mode is a fun thing to play by itself, it also features many rewards to entice players to participate in specific events and objectives in the mode. These rewards can be everything from Double XP Tokens to Stronghold Keys.
The popular game mode allows players to drop into a map and complete a narrative-focused mission. Infinity Ward and Activision have been hard-at-work updating the game mode – bringing in new maps and more for players to enjoy. Here are all of the latest and known rewards for the DMZ game mode.
All DMZ Mode Rewards So Far
Infinity Ward has confirmed that there are various rewards available for players who participate in DMZ mode. These rewards range from Double XP Tokens to rare weapon blueprints, and include:
- Double XP Tokens
- Calling Cards
- Weapon Charms
- Weapon Blueprints
- Contraband Weapons
- Operator Skins
- Other cosmetic items
- Stronghold Keys
In addition to these rewards, DMZ mode features ‘Rare Weapons Case’ missions. Only one rare weapon case drops for the entire lobby, and it comes with great rewards that players will want to get their hands on. The rewards for successfully completing the mission include:

Upon entering a DMZ match, players will see rare weapon case icons on their tac map in yellow with a small radius. If the icon is yellow, the weapons case is held by the Juggernaut AI character. If it turns red, that means another team of operators has obtained the rare weapon case. Players must retrieve the rare weapon case from the Juggernaut or other operators and successfully exfil to receive the rewards.
MW2 DMZ Rewards
For each season of DMZ, there are three factions with their own set of missions and rewards for you to work through. You have to complete these specific missions in order to earn the rewards with many missions having you find items in specific locations of each map available in DMZ.
While most of these missions will reward with you XP and items that can only be used in DMZ, some do give you account-wide unlocks. These can range from calling cards to operator skins.
In MW2, you can earn DMZ Rewards through the following factions and their respective missions, these are:
- Black Mous
- Legion
- White Lotus
- Phalanx
- Shadow Company
Let’s break down just what these rewards are in greater detail.
DMZ Ashika Island Rewards
In Warzone 2’s DMZ map, Ashika Island is another location that offers exclusive Weapons Case rewards.
The Ashika Island Weapons Case can be found in the Castle POI, where only one Weapons Case is available. Players will need to defend against challenging AI bots as well as operators looking to secure the case.
Successfully exfiling seven times with the Ashika Island Weapons Case will reward players with the following items:
- Backup Plan (Handgun Blueprint)
- Aces (Emblem)
- Full House (Emblem)
- Full House (Calling Card)
- Bear With Me (Weapon Sticker)
- Triple Threat (Loading Screen)
- Fight Night (TAQ-56 Blueprint)
DMZ Building 21 Rewards
Building 21 is a new sensation in Call of Duty Warzone 2’s DMZ mode, which requires players and their teams to have its key to access it. Building 21 also comes with excellent rewards should players successfully depart with its corresponding weapons cases.
Players can secure a total of six weapons cases, each coming with their own unique cosmetic reward. The ultimate prize that can be retrieved from one of these weapon cases is the Silver Tox Blueprint for the new Chimera assault rifle in MW2.
To receive all six rewards from Building 21, players will need to visit it six times and come out of it alive with one weapons case each time. The following are all six rewards players can acquire in Building 21 in Warzone 2’s DMZ mode:
- Going Bark (Charm)
- Weapon Rover (Calling Card)
- Company Sniper (Emblem)
- Roar (Weapon Sticker)
- Camo Cloud (Vehicle Skin)
- Silver Tox (Chimera Blueprint)
DMZ M13B Assault Rifle Reward
The ultimate reward in Warzone 2’s DMZ mode is the M13B Assault Rifle, which can be used across all Modern Warfare II or Warzone 2.0 modes. The M13B is part of the Bruen Ops Platform along with the new BAS-P SMG.
To secure the M13B Assault Rifle, players need to locate what Call of Duty calls the ‘Contaminated Zone’ on the Al Mazrah DMZ map. Upon locating it, players will need to eliminate an AI player known as the ‘Chemist’ within the radioactive zone.
Once players have eliminated the Chemist, they will drop a weapon blueprint of the M13B Assault Rifle, which players can pick up and stash. However, the key part for players who retrieve the M13B is to extract it successfully from DMZ to actually unlock it and use it in custom loadouts.
