Fans of the Call of Duty franchise are hyped up for the next game coming from Activision. Modern Warfare III is the newest title from the acclaimed CoD series, and it’s bringing out all the stops.

Zombies Outbreak is making a return, many cast members are coming back, and plenty of new maps to play on. Of course, many of these will be available using CoD Points, the in-game currency for the CoD series. If you’ve purchased them while playing Modern Warfare II, you may be wondering if they’ll disappear with the new game.

Will CoD points from MWII and Warzone transfer over to MWIII? We’re here to give you all the details you need on CoD Points in the latest game in the series.

MW3 – Will CoD points transfer from MW2?

Luckily, all CoD Points from MWII and Warzone will transfer over to MWIII. Players will not lose any points making the transition from one game to different CoD games. Anything purchases of CoD Points you’ve made or points you’ve earned will stay with you.

However, there is one way that points will be lost, and that’s if you switch consoles. You will, unfortunately, lose all points, weapon skins, operator skins, blueprints, and other cosmetic items if you switch what platform you play on.

For example, if you go from Xbox to PlayStation or other different platforms, you will lose those points. But, if you make the jump from Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, the points will stay with you because it’s the same account. Make sure to link your Activision account on your PC so you can be sure to keep the points for transfer.

Will you lose your CoD Points in MW3?

You are not starting from scratch in MWIII, so long as you’ve been playing Warzone or MWII. You aren’t going to lose all your CoD points that you’ve purchased or earned from the battle pass.
