In Pikmin 4, you are accompanied by the plantlike creatures known as Pikmin as well as the rescue pup Oatchi. Your companions will help you find treasures and castaways hidden across the mysterious planet.

As you explore the world, you will collect raw materials and nectar, clear obstacles, and complete missions. Claim your rewards back at camp and get various upgrades that you can take with you. Don’t forget to scavenge around in a few caves as well.

There are plenty of Pikmin to discover in this Nintendo Switch title. Each area also has plenty of treasures to locate. Eventually, you will find yourself in a fight and Oatchi can get damaged. It is important to keep him in good condition. This guide will show you how to heal Oatchi in Pikmin 4.

Pikmin 4 – How to heal Oatchi

There are two ways that you can heal Oatchi in Pikmin 4. First, you can feed him Scrummy Bones. These tasty treats can be bought from Russ at the Rescue Corps camp for three Raw Materials. These will restore Oatchi’s HP instantly.

To use a Scrummy Bone, hold the Y button during your exploration. Use the left stick to select the Pack option in the menu. From there, select the Scrummy Bone. SImply toss the bone out like you would a Pikmin and the space dog will run to it and heal.

Outside of obtaining items from the lab, you can train Oatchi to heal himself. This takes much longer but saves you from needing to spend materials. You can train Oatchi by talking to Captain Shepherd at the rescue command post. The captain can train Oatchi in exchange for Pup Drive. Each level of the Heal ability costs three Pup Drive.
