Pikmin 4 is the next game in the Pikmin series and fans are excited to become a part of the Rescue Corps. You are to hunt down treasures on the strange planet to collect Sparklium. This strange substance will power your ship and allow you to discover castaways as well as the whereabouts of Captain Olimar.

The game is filled with exploration, allowing you to search the highest cliffs and the darkest caves. You will have Oatchi accompanying you so you will never go alone. While many aspects of the gameplay have changed over the years, some mechanics have stayed the same.

You will still collect various types of Pikmin that will help you overcome obstacles and puzzles to accomplish your goal. Previous games in the franchise had a time limit, including the original Pikmin game on the GameCube. So is there a time limit in Pikmin 4?

Does Pikmin 4 have a time limit?

Pikmin 4 does have a time limit. Each day, you will have the choice to go out and explore different regions of the world. While you explore, you will see a timer in the upper left corner of the screen. This will tell you how much more time is left in the day.

When this clock hits the red section, sunset will be starting and you will need to get back to the Beagle with your squad of Pikmin. The original games in the Pikmin series had more timers. For instance, the original Pikmin game had a strict 30-day time limit before life support ran out.

While previous Pikmin games had a timer, this has changed to make things easier over the years. In Pikmin 4, you will also be able to take part in night expeditions. With the help of Glow Pikmin, you will be able to fend off the night-time creatures and keep your crewmates safe.

Those who want to try out the game early can download the demo. This will allow you to play through part of the game and get a feel for the controls.
