Do you want to save both worlds in the Entangled quest in Starfield? The Entangled quest is one of the most interesting side missions in the game because it focuses on a distortion between realities.

This quest takes place on Freya III and is obtained by following a distress signal from the Nishina Research Station. Once you reach the planet, interact with the intercom to speak with Ethan Hughes. After a brief conversation, your quest begins and you and your crew get shifted between realities.

The Entangled Quest is definitely worth going out of your way to complete. Make sure you have your powers ready as you might need them. Things definitely don’t go as planned but the rewards are more than worth it. Here is how to save both worlds in the Starfield Entangled quest.

Starfield Entangled Quest walkthrough

The quest begins as you reach Freya III and interact with the intercom to speak with Ethan Hughes. Afterward, you will teleport between realities as you traverse the stairs, elevator, and hallways of the facility.

As you make your way through the lab teleporting between universes, continue along the main path. Eventually, you will find a man named Rafael Aguerro. Speaking with Raphael will reveal that the lab was destroyed after interacting with an artifact.

In your reality, Rafael was killed trying to protect everyone. In the other reality, he is the only survivor. Continue through the quest and you will meet Director Patel and Maria Hughes who will agree to help you.

The next time you shift realities, go through the emergency door and talk to Raphael. He will give you the Ninshina Pantry Keycard. Go through the facility and find Ethan’s office then wait to shift realities. Talk to Ethan to get out of his office. Walk down the hallway and shift realities again.

Note: You can speak with Ethan about the Cataxi to get a powerful prototype shotgun here.

Head through the alternate reality to find the fabrication lab. Maria will now help you with the distortion. After shifting again, pick up the Probe Control Unit which will allow you to manually switch between realities.

When you return to the director, they will ask you to choose which world you are going to save. From here, you can make the choice to save your reality, the alternate reality, or save both.

How to save both worlds in the Starfield Entangled quest

To save both worlds in the Entangled quest, you first need to kill all the enemies in both universes which includes all alien creatures. The Sense Star Stuff power is very useful in this situation. You can choose to ignore the security cameras as well.

With all the enemies defeated, turn on all the power interlocks in both universes. Interact with the Lab Control Computer and select the Degaussing option in both realities. You will get a list of switches. Turn the indicated switches on and off in both realities.

Once this has been done, select the Initiate Frequency Calibration option in both your universe and the ruins universe. Set the frequency to 40GHz in your reality and 24 GHz in the other reality.

Now that this is done, find the Primary Calibration Control in each reality. It will be located near the artifact. Activate this and a cutscene will play. Once this cutscene is over, you will be back in your reality and everyone will be saved.
