There are two ways to remove traits, you need to complete certain missions or speak to the Doctor. However, they can not be replaced.

| Serpent’s Embrace | Find and interact with Mir’za; you can remove the trait after some dialogue. |

Some are great to have, like extra damage or a religion trait. Others will cost you with their negative effects. The Kid Stuff trait will take a percentage of your Credits to send to your parents. This is great for your parents, not for your wallet! As for the Hero Worshipped trait, well, you may want some alone time.
