Want to learn where you can store your resources in Starfield? In the Bethesda Game Studios title Starfield, you will come across many items that are too heavy to carry. As a result, it can heavily decrease your oxygen and weigh down your spacesuit. To combat this, you will need storage containers with plenty of space.

Storage containers aren’t difficult to come by. You can also get access to more storage as you progress through the game. There are a lot of planets to explore so there must be extra storage out there somewhere.

As you travel to various areas, you will encounter puzzles. Find out how to use Digipicks and how to lockpick. Additionally, you may want to learn how to increase your character carrying weight. But first, follow this guide to learn where to store resources in Starfield.

Where to store your resources in Starfield

You can store your resources in Starfield in three ways: a Cargo Hold, the Storage safe, and a Storage Crate. As you explore the various planets, you will come across many items of varying weight.

On your starship, you will have a Cargo Hold that can store Aids, weapons, your Ship Parts, and Resources. To store items on your ship, press the Q key on PC or LB on Xbox. This will allow you to access your ship’s cargo hold. However, your Ship’s Cargo Hold is limited by its carrying capacity. To combat this, you can upgrade your Payloads skill and increase your carrying capacity by 50%.

Those who don’t mind cheating can use mods to increase the storage capacity of their character and NPCs. They can also use console commands. Of course, you can always just build a new ship with a larger storage capacity as well.

Next, during your One Small Step quest, which will take place in New Atlantis, Jemison. During a part of this quest, you must follow Noel in The Lodge to your new living quarters in Constellation. Within your room, you will find a Storage safe; this safe can hold unlimited storage. While it may not be the closest means to store items, whenever you’re in New Atlantis, ensure to drop a few off.

If your ship’s inventory isn’t enough and fast travel to New Atlantis is taxing, you can use a Storage Crate. To utilize this, you will need an Outpost. Once in an Outpost, use your scanner to open your menu and begin decorating. After this, navigate to Decorating and search for Storage Crate. To start crafting this item, the crafting materials you need Four Structural and Two Aluminum per Crate.

With that, you have three ways to store your resources. Some may be further than you like, while others are quick fixes until you reach your next Outpost. Of course, you can also allow your crew members to take on the extra kilograms.
