Diablo 4 progress isn’t transferring over for some players

Blizzard promised in a live stream and in their blog post that certain items would be account-wide in Diablo 4, including Renown points, Map locations, and Altars of Lilith. Unfortunately, this is something that some players are not seeing.
Multiple Reddit posts are being made complaining and asking about the promised feature. This is likely a bug but there’s no telling how long something like this may take to fix.
Diablo 4 Season 1 not transferring over progress
Some players are reporting that these items are not transferring over to the new season of Diablo 4. This promise was mentioned specifically by the developers in a live stream, stating that it wouldn’t be fun to have to start over—but it seems some players may have to for the time being.
Many players are reporting that they have tried going to their main accounts and then logging back in on others to no avail.
Some players of Diablo 4 are reporting that the Altars of Lilith and certain uncovered map locations are not transferring over to the new season. This is despite Blizzard’s announcement that these items would be account-wide.
The Altars of Lilith are special locations that players can find throughout the world of Sanctuary. When activated, they grant the player a number of rewards, including Renown points, gold, and experience. The uncovered map locations are areas of the map that have been revealed by exploring.
According to some Reddit posts, some players who have already found the Altars of Lilith and uncovered some of the map locations on one character are not seeing those items transferred over to their new characters in the new season. This means that they have to find all of the Altars of Lilith and uncover all of the map locations again in order to reap the rewards.
