Fortnite’s summer event is just around the corner! Epic Games will release a major update on Tuesday, July 4, bringing a lot of new content to the popular video game. The event will include a lot of new features, including new cosmetic items.
Despite being on summer break, Epic will release the update on Tuesday. The video game developer has prepared everything necessary for the update with the v25.11 patch, and the content will be pushed out at 9 AM Eastern Time.

Next Fortnite update will bring the summer event
Many Fortnite players are looking forward to the summer event. The event has always brought a lot of amazing content, which is why the next one will likely follow suit.
This year’s event is called Summer Escape and will bring several new cosmetic items. In addition to it, Epic Games will bring some of the other popular summer skins back to the Item Shop. Besides skins, many other cosmetics will come out with the event, and some of them will be given away for free.
Considering that Epic is releasing a new in-game event that will last for two weeks, some map changes will also be released. However, these changes will likely be in the game only during the event and will be removed on July 18.
When it comes to new items, Epic Games has already released the Sharp Tooth Shotgun. However, another item has been recently leaked and will likely come out with the summer update. The item is called the Slap Splash, and it’s a combination of the Chug Splash and the Slap Juice.
The Slap Splash will come in Rare and Exotic variants. The Exotic variant will be given to an NPC and will grant a 60-second Slap effect, as opposed to the 30 seconds granted by the Rare variant. In addition, the Exotic item will grant 30 effective health to players, twice as much as the lower version of it.
Epic likely won’t release major gameplay changes with the upcoming update. These changes, however, will arrive later in July. The v25.20 update will probably be released on July 18, right after the summer event ends.
