LG’s new G4 OLED TV was so cheap that Amazon has just stopped pre orders

We previously reported that the LG G4 OLED TV was more than $1,000 cheaper on Amazon, but it looks like the popular retailer has made a sly amendment as it now unavailable for pre order. Too bad if you missed out on the low price tag, though we’ll be keeping an eye on it to see how this tale progresses.
Amazon is perhaps admitting they made a mistake, as the 77-inch LG G4 was way cheaper on the popular retailer compared to other sites, including the official LG store. As a continuation to our previous story, we thought it would be a good idea to update you with the latest. Yes, unfortunately it is back to the dreaded ‘Currently unavailable’ on Amazon. Whether this is due to a mistake on the price on Amazon’s part or simply a high volume of pre orders, we can’t be sure. It looks to be the best OLED TV of 2024, so we’d understand the demand.
Hopefully Amazon honor anyone that got their pre order in early at the reduced price ($1,066.43 cheaper than the official LG store by the way). Like we said, keep an eye on up-to-date listings as to not miss out if it again becomes available for a lower price than elsewhere.
Where should I pre order from instead?
With Amazon pre orders out of order for the time being, we’d suggest checking out some alternative places to pre order the LG G4 OLED such as B&H Home Video. Alternatively, waiting out for the return of the LG G4 on Amazon could be your best bet for a good price.
Much like the LG C4, the G4 is slated for a March 11th release date based on what we’ve seen on Amazon early on. This gives pre orders just under a couple weeks’ time to make their return in time for widespread availability. Additionally, if you’re interested, the official store is running a pre order bonus.
