Lian Li is a massive manufacturer based in Taiwan, so it’s no surprise to see them show up Competex this year in Taipei with a ton of new tech to show off. They are well known for their PC cases, but today we’re going to take a look at their new DK-07F gaming desk (which is actually a PC case too). This is known as a desk case, and the standing desk design with a ton of features built in separates it from the rest of the crowd.
There are plenty of little features that make up the DK-07F, which is a follow-up to the DK-05F which released a few years back. This is a truly high-tech gaming desk, which doubles up as a PC case all in one. It’s not just exclusively built for gamers though – it can appeal to a wide range of users.
Let’s jump into all the details we know about Lian Li’s latest desk case offering.
DK-07F standing desk design
The first thing to point out of course is that this is a standing desk, which have risen in popularity over a number of years now, however it can be configured to be put into sitting position, as seen in ShortCircuit’s video. This is through the motorized system which makes for easy electrical height adjustment.
One key difference here is the top glass panel, which is actually smaller than what we saw in the previous iteration. This makes it much easier to pack, build, and configure later down the line, even for a single person. Thanks to the smaller glass panel, this opens up space for two aluminum panels either side, one of which can be opened up for additional storage.
There is plenty of cooling support too, including space for:
- One 360/280 radiator or three 120mm fans / two 140mm fans on the left
- Two 360/280 radiators or six 120mm / five 140mm fans at the front
- One 280 radiator or two fans up to 140mm in the middle
A final design feature is of course the support for a single monitor arm, to allow a monitor to hover above the desk instead of sitting on your top glass panel, which can be opened up easily for servicing.
DK-07F gaming desk features
Let’s move on to the features. Back to that top glass panel, which can be toggled between transparent (to see your components within), or opaque at the touch of a button. This is something that we saw from the DK-05F already.
We talked about the aluminum panels either side – one side opens up, but the other side features a cooled cup holder and USB expansion hub. Easier cable organization is also a bonus of these panels. The handy cup holder can also be set to heat your drink too, important for that morning coffee.
